1) This EO is the fifth of six that, as of 8/2019, forms the basis of the sanctions program concerning North Korea. This EO incorporates portions of NKSPEA (prior to its amendment by the CAATS Act in 2017), and also places additional trade limitations on North Korea not mandated by the statute (e.g. the prohibition on investment).
