The table contains sanction-by-sanction comments, along with commentary on the relationships between sanctions with significant substantive overlap.

1) SSIDES contains four distinct sanctions; sections 8, 9, 10 and 11, the latter two of which was made into sanctions provisions by CAATSA, in 2017.

a) Section 8 requires the President to block persons engaging in a range of activities pertaining to Ukraine, but not ordinary commercial transactions.
