1) The relationship between the Venezuela-related sanctions authorities is complex, and discussed in detail in General Note on the Venezuela Sanctions Regulations, the Blocking of the Government of Venezuela and other Venezuela-related EOs (System Ed. 2) As of 8/2019, this EO is "stand alone," in the sense that, while it is related to EO 13692 insofar as it was issued to take additional steps in connection with the same national emergency as the one declared in EO 13692, persons designated pursuant to this EO are treated differently than persons designated pursuant to other Venezuela-related EOs.
