1) With certain exceptions noted, the ITSR, SySR, NKSR and Venezuela GLs for certain transactions related to patents, trademarks, copyrights, and other intellectual property are substantively identical, and are presumably interpreted accordingly.

2) This provision (or its analogues) has been subject to some notable interpretation. In Kalantari v. NITV, Inc., 352 F.3d 1202 (9th Cir. 2003),the 9th Circuit held that, with respect to a film duly imported from Iran pursuant to the informational materials exemption, the subsequent assignment of the copyright of the film is a transaction "ordinarily incident" to the initial copyrighting of a film authorized by 560.509.
