1) On May 10, 2024, OFAC issued an “Interim Final Rule” amending certain provisions in the RPPR (see FR Notice Introducing Changes to RPPR (5-8-24)). The preamble to the “Final Rule” issued on Oct. 7, 2024 provides certain notable explanations underlying the changes made to the RPPR vis-à-vis the publication of the Interim Final Rule.
