1) BACKGROUND

This is the first OFAC-administered sanctions program that specifically targets activities occurring in Israel and the Palestinian territories.
2) THE BLOCKING PORTION OF THE EO
a) In General
Sec. 1 of the EO is a standard blocking order. As of 2-1-24, this is one of a handful of list-based executive orders containing blocking prohibitions that are yet to be incorporated into implementing regulations.
